Coaching Process

Over the years we have developed a very effective strategy for bringing about change. It combines foundational business methods with advanced marketing strategies and conflict-resolution techniques. We call our change model, R.E.A.D.I. Action!

The "R.E.A.D.I. Action!" Management Model embodies our consulting philosophy.

  1. RESEARCH - First, our coaches will look at the external forces affecting your business. This includes top-line research of your competitive positioning, technological variables affecting your industry, product and company anticipated growth, advertising, promotional and public relation considerations and opportunities, geographic concerns, and your customer's demographics, and psychographic profile. Armed with this information we can begin the evaluation stage to put these findings into perspective.

  2. EVALUATION - Next our coaches turn the focus on the internal forces affecting your business. This includes financial considerations (such as cash flow and profitability), resource allocation, manpower, duties and responsibilities, sales automation, policies and procedures, marketing return-on-investment, and so on. We take some time to understand your vision of the future, your plan to achieve this vision, and some obstacles that have been standing in your way. We also will want to talk to several of your employees or team members to evaluate productivity, error rates, efficiency, and potential problems from their perspective.

  3. ACCOUNTABILITY - After the evaluation process, we will make recommendations which will likely take the form of developmental initiatives. Each initiative will be "owned" by a named party who will be held accountable for the execution and completion of the initiative by a target date. This may be a manager, employee, vendor, or SBA Network representative. Creating "owned initiatives" permits members of the team to experience personal pride in accomplishing goals which will thrust the company closer toward achieving the ultimate vision. It also creates a shared sense of purpose and empowers team members to promote change rather than endure it.

  4. DEVELOPMENT - During this stage we will begin to develop the strategies necessary to re-position your organization in your industry. This typically involves isolating your market position and determining your unique selling advantages. Then we develop the marketing strategy, tactics and any necessary advertising materials which will be necessary to achieve the agreed upon goals. This might include print media, web or interactive media, broadcast or a combination of the above. This can be done by our staff, your in-house staff, or pre established resources. Our team of marketing, advertising, creative, and production specialists can perform the actual production, assist in the strategic development or act as consultants. Either way we ensure that you develop and articulate your key business solutions, benefits and services so that you are clearly communicating the value you offer your clients with power and precision.

  5. INTERNALIZATION - Development of even the most precise marketing and management plan and effective promotional and advertising material is relatively useless without the support of the entire organization. We help to ensure the success of the planned initiatives by internalizing the new corporate vision and supporting culture and philosophy. We do this by creating a higher level of communication, increased self-reliance and rewards and incentives based on attitude and performance. This internal shift expedites external market changes. Typically this includes some type of training and/or betterment initiatives for staff members. It also promotes greater moral responsibility, and inspires teamwork, higher productivity, and better performance.

  6. ACTION - Finally we initiate our "Goal Action System" which ensures that change occurs daily. The "Goal Action System" involves management committing to a series of weekly and monthly meetings with department heads to track progress toward the stated goals. We facilitate these meetings, develop the agendas, perform the research and analysis, document the goals, discuss obstacles, and assist in determining solutions to the obstacles. The process is also dynamic and continuous. Success today doesn't mean success tomorrow. We keep your company headed toward achieving your ultimate vision, by making sure you achieve the stated goals, ONE AT A TIME!

Some of our clients have retained us for over ten years because they have found that this strategy has resulted in continually growing the quality and capabilities of their team as well as gaining market advantage in ferociously competitive environments. Maybe we can help you as well. R.E.A.D.I. Action!
